Private Investigation Process
Certus Consulting & Investigations, LLC (CCI) consistently strives to provide excellent investigative services with the least amount of intrusion to our clients. It is our objective to conduct the investigation through an efficient process that involves a series of structured work phases. The following is a summary of the investigation process and reflects how our clients and CCI work through the process.
Phase One - Consultation: In this phase we will meet with the client and obtain the information needed to understand the client’s particular investigative necessities. We will determine the method(s) of investigation and level of assets required to complete the investigation. We will then establish a course of action and offer recommendations concerning any issues and questions. The client is under no obligations or subject to fees during this phase.
Phase Two - Agreement: Once confirmation from the client is established we will issue a ‘Contract for Private Investigation’ outlining in detail what is to be investigated, who is involved in the investigation, and the purpose or use of the investigative results. The contract will entail information relating any fee cost and arrangement for payment.
Phase Three - Documentation: This phase requires us to ask for and obtain detailed relevant information on the nature of the investigation and subjects involved in the investigation. The documentation phase will typically happen in the same conference as the initial consultation unless additional background information can be provided by the client at a later date and time.
Phase Four – Investigation/Surveillance: Upon receiving the necessary documentation from the client we will begin the process to complete the investigation in a discreet and professional manner. We will conduct the investigation in proper regards in order to find the truth and report the facts.
Phase Five – Reporting and Representations: Once the initial contract obligations have been fulfilled we will summarize our findings to the client. Depending upon the results of the initial investigation the client can then either continue with the investigation or terminate any further obligations and request a formal report. If a report is requested we will issue a professional and thorough report in a timely manner for the purpose in reporting the facts of the investigation. However, if the client requests that additional investigation is required we will continue with the investigation in order to meet the satisfaction of the client. Upon further investigation the client will have additional financial obligations to achieve supplementary service.
